OnlineCollege1Dropping out – a painful mistake

I have had the misfortune of dropping out of college a couple of years ago because of financial reasons. The tuition payments, we can deal with, but the lodging and other logistic issues were simply too much for me and my family to handle. I couldn’t handle the stress of getting a part-time job to make ends meet because it hindered me from getting good grades. Scholarships and grants were out of the question because of my previous grades. I had to drop out because I simply could not afford to go to college.

The miraculous alternative

I was about to give up all hopes of me getting a degree, but thankfully, I was presented with an alternative that changed my life forever: ONLINE COLLEGE EDUCATION. At first, I was hesitant because there is no way for me to get quality education over the Internet, but when I gave it a try, I was wrong. I took a short-term graphic design course, complete with NCSI ISO Certification, and it was a very good course. Online education is definitely for me, but is it really meant for everyone?

5 reasons why it’s for everyone

People would debate with you to no end as to why brick-and-mortar classroom education is way better than online education, but I say otherwise. Here are some of the 5 reasons why online education is better.

  1. It is convenient – You don’t have to be burdened with travelling miles just to attend a single class. With online education, you can take a class at your own pace and time of choosing, so you have time for more important things like family duties and even a full-time job.
  2. You can save money – You don’t have to worry about wasting gas or paying for lodging just to attend college. You can practically save money on gas and lodgings alone, which may amount to hundreds or thousands a month. You can now book that vacation you always wanted, or you could always save for a rainy day.
  3. Education is repetitive – What I mean by this is that most of the lessons are delivered by audio or video, so you can basically download the file and listen or watch the entire thing many times.
  4. Courses are short and concise – You can find short-term courses that are designed to give you the knowledge and skills you need for a particular job. Of course, there are also Bachelor’s programs that last for 4 years and even graduate programs are being offered.
  5. Courses are reliable – Some of the courses that you will find on the Internet are offered by the best universities and institutions, and you can definitely find online courses that are for free.

Online education is a growing trend, and millions of people all over the world are enjoying the many benefits of online courses.
