WHAT
UC Merced hosts the 2nd Annual Bobcat Day for students who have been accepted for admission for the Fall 2006 semester and their families

University of California, Merced campus
5200 North Lake Road, adjacent to Lake Yosemite in Merced. General program will be presented in the Dr. Lakireddy Auditorium in the Classroom and Office Building. Campus information tables will line Scholars Lane beginning at the Kolligian Library, running past the Classroom and Office Building and to the Science and Engineering Building
WHO WILL BE THERE
Hundreds of prospective UC Merced students and their families Chancellor Carol Tomlinson-Keasey Deans and faculty members from the Schools of Engineering; Natural Sciences; and Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts Current UC Merced students Campus administrators and staff members
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Students who have been admitted to UC Merced for fall 2006 and members of their families will get an up-close look at the UC Merced campus in the festive atmosphere of Bobcat Day.
Prospective UC Merced students will attend programs featuring interactive panel sessions with professors, current students and student services staff members; hear program updates from the schools of Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts; visit information booths staffed by representatives of the faculty, student organizations and student services; and enjoy entertainment and refreshments.
PARKING
Journalists may park on campus in "staff" or "visitor" spaces without purchasing a parking permit if official press credentials issued by their affiliated media organization are clearly displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle. Parking is suggested in the Lake Parking Lot across from student housing on Scholars Lane. After entering the campus, take your first right to access the lot. Media parking in parking spaces marked as "reserved" or "disabled" is not permitted without a handicap-parking permit issued by the state.

DIRECTIONS
The UC Merced campus is located adjacent to Lake Yosemite at 5200 North Lake Road:
>From Fresno
Head north on Highway 99 to Merced and take the G Street exit.
Turn right onto G Street, heading north. Proceed on G Street through several major intersections. Turn right on Yosemite Avenue. Turn left on Lake Road. Proceed approximately one mile to the campus.
>From Stockton
Head south on Highway 99 to Merced and exit on 16th Street.
Continue on 16th Street to M Street. Turn left on M Street through several major intersections. Turn right on Yosemite Avenue. Turn left on Lake Road. Proceed approximately one mile to the campus.
