Latest Community ArtReach exhibit features paintings, photography and pottery by three local artists The exhibit features a complementary collection of artwork by three well-known local artists: mixed-media paintings by Michael Garcia; black-and-white photography by Mike Phillips and mixed-media compositions and wood-fired and raku pottery by Geoffrey Spach. The artists created their work separately using mediums and techniques unrelated to one another’s, yet the collective body of art demonstrates a strong aesthetic compatibility and relationship in terms of color, texture, form and subject matter. All of the pieces share a strong connection to earthly elements as well as a sense of antiquity and timelessness. The exhibit will run through Feb. 2, 2006 and is open to the public free of charge during UC Center business hours.
