UC Merced School of Natural Sciences will host reception for Merced High science students

What:  Reception for high school students who participated in a Toyota-funded study of the Merced watershed, hosted by the UC Merced School of Natural Sciences
 
   
Who: UC Merced faculty and staff
Merced High School students, parents and teachers
 
   
When: Friday, May 20, 2005, 5:30 7:00 p.m.
   
Where: Redwood Conference Room and Atrium, UC Merced, 4225 N. Hospital Rd., Atwater
   
Why: To present results from a study of the chemistry, zoology and botany of the Merced watershed and honor the students who completed the study
 

On Friday, May 20, 2005 the UC Merced School of Natural Sciences will be hosting a reception for Merced High School students who participated in a study of the Merced watershed. This study was funded by a $10,000 dollar grant that was awarded to Merced High School from Toyota.
 
The students collected data from several sites around the Merced area and were grouped into 3 categories: chemistry, zoology and botany. The results from their observations will be presented at the reception in the atrium of the UC Merced building at Castle.
