FOCUS
FOR EACH DAY
- DAY
1: What are we supposed to teach? Relating the rubric to
teaching the different writing types
- DAY
2: How are we doing? Examining student essays and planning
lesson design and instructional strategies
- DAY
3: Where do we go from here? Scoring sample student essays
to identify strengths and weaknesses and then re-strategizing
The
workshops are designed especially for 4th grade school teachers
to help students meet CA Language Arts Standards & Writing Assessment
benchmarks.
- The
cost is $100 per teacher for all three days.
- You
may send as many teachers as you like (first come basis).
- Enrollment
will be limited to 35 teachers for each session.
